A good few nights ago, I made a quick-ish meal….it got eaten so quickly that I didn’t manage to get a pic…lol
I made chops and mash.
I love mash….so I could pair it with just about anything. hahaha
Because I had limited time and bucket-loads of laziness, I opened the fridge and just grabbed what looked like it would work.
1 kg loin chops – wash and keep aside …
To your deep saucepan/pot add:
3 tblsp Tomato Sauce
2 tblsp Mustard Sauce
1 tblsp Ginger Garlic masala
2 tsp Ground Green chilli
1 cup plain yoghurt
rough salt
pepper
1/4 tsp haldi/turmeric
1 tsp red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Dhana Jeero powder
a dash of Worcestershire sauce
3 tblsp Vinegar
1 tsp Robertson’s Meat Tenderiser
1 tsp Robertson’s Barbeque Spice
4 tblsp HONEY
Mix it all together.
Add your chops (what I do is a dip both sides of each chop in the masala and then pack them into the pot)
Add 2 blobs of butter or a good splash of Olive Oil or nothing at all (if you’re leaving the fat on the chops then you don’t need any additional grease, if you’re trimming all the fat then you’ll need to add some oil/butter)
Close your lid, leave it on medium heat to cook until done.
It was cooked, tender and ready to eat in an hour.
*variation* you can add sliced onions and sliced robot peppers to this dish while cooking, it’s absolutely delicious!
Enjoy
